Denize

Denize

1st October 2016

Denize and her two boys, from Coventry, enjoy an active social life in spite of all their difficulties. Denize has a degenerative spine condition and although she can manage around her adapted home on crutches she needs an electric wheelchair outside. Unfortunately local services have decided to recall her current chair and not replace it. This news has been devastating to the family. Her younger son is also a wheelchair user and her elder son has aspergers syndrome. They enjoy getting out and about at the week-ends particularly to medieval re-enactments, where the eldest son is hoping to be elevated to the knighthood and the youngest is training as a squire. DTD Charity were able to contribute to a replacement wheelchair. Denize wrote to say I am chuffed to bits with the chair and using it to its full capabilities by taking up every activity I can.
